CIHEAM MAICh - Department of Business Economics and Management is a partner in the “Communities Innovating Traffic Yielding a Multimodal Optimized Vicinal Environment” CITYMOVE project, which has been approved for financing under the first call of the Interreg ADRION program.

The CITYMOVE project aims to enhance urban infrastructure through innovative solutions, such as the installation of smart parking systems in Bar (Montenegro) and Biograd na Moru (Croatia). It also seeks to improve urban mobility by introducing modern equipment in the cities of Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Novi Pazar (Serbia), and the municipalities of Bar (Montenegro), Sveti Nikola (North Macedonia), Gubbio (Italy), Mat (Albania), and Kantanos-Selino (Greece).

As part of the project, several events and initiatives will promote sustainable and healthy lifestyles: A cross-border Car-Free Day will be organized at eight locations; Local bicycle races will take place in all partner cities; An Urban Mobility Day will be hosted at three locations.

Additionally, safe walking and cycling maps will be developed. A Transnational Sustainable Mobility Plan will be drawn to outline innovative solutions for sustainable urban mobility. Furthermore, Local Urban Mobility Plans will be created or updated for the partner cities.

The Municipality of Bar (Montenegro) serves as the lead partner, while the project consortium includes: City of Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina); City of Biograd na Moru (Croatia); City of Novi Pazar (Serbia); Municipality of Sveti Nikola (North Macedonia); Municipality of Gubbio (Italy); Municipality of Kantanos-Selino (Greece); CIHEAM MAICh (Greece)
